Eminent Domain Abuse The U.S. Supreme Court ruling concerning Eminent Domain is distressing. Eminent Domain Abuse must be prevented. No government entity should be able to force someone to give up their home for private developments. Many states are passing laws that prevent this abuse. Connecticut failed to do so. Because the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that such abuse is allowed under the U.S. Constitution, I feel it's necessary to have a Constitutional Amendment that forbids any government agency from taking away someone's home for private development. As a U.S. Senator, I would introduce such an amendment. |
